When I think about new media writing, I believe it affects culture. Culture is always changing as time goes on, but in ways that my younger siblings are experiencing 10x different than me. I have 3 younger siblings and in elementary school they’re already typing and learning within tablets- in other words, media writing. In a sense I believe it does good and bad, but I care more about how it affects their development and culture. Is it helping? because of the advancements, or is it hurting because of the dependence and reliance. Something I care about is accuracy, this is because since we live in the digital age using media writing, literacy, culture, and politics, anyone has the ability to present information to a vast majority of people even if it’s false, while editing it to make it appear true. I’m curious about how media writing will change in the future, at times we feel like this is peak advancement however, we know it can go further. Issues that matter to me when it comes to media is using your platform for the benefit of others and being accurate while doing so. We see big celebrities advocate for certain issues, whom are using their platform for the better of society, yet not being accurate with their information which can be extremely misleading to the public, especially those who rely on their beliefs and news outlet.
